Our ‘prep’ doesn’t start 8 or 10 weeks out from a sale: for many of our clients it commences with stallion selection, a foal’s safe arrival, weaning and closely supervised rearing.

The process has certainly worked with Group One winners Red Dazzler, Reactive and Blutigeroo all sold under the Eliza Park banner, while 2YO sensation, Wilander was sold at last year’s Easter Yearling Sale for $625,000.

Other top sales include the $725,000 for the Encosta de Lago x Millrich colt sold at the Gold Coast Magic Millions (plus $500,000 for the half brother, Danerich, two years previously), $550,000 for the Redoute’s Choice x Staremma yearling sold at Easter last year and, at the 2008 Australian Easter, $460,000 for the Bel Esprit half sister to Magnus and Wilander.
