Eliza Park is an all encompassing Thoroughbred establishment and we aim to provide a full range of services, unparalleled within the thoroughbred industry. Our properties are based at Kerrie and Berrigan.
Our main office is based at Kerrie which is situated at the foothills of Mt.Macedon approx. 1 hr from Melbourne CBD. Located on this property are our 12 stallions, segregated visiting and resident mare areas, foaling down areas and our sales preparation facility. Our dry mare farm is located directly across from our front gates. In addition we have a
resident veterinarian and
farrier, a
maintenance and
gardening team and even our own
transport fleet.
Eliza Park racing is emerging as a key player in the Victorian racing scene. Our racing division operates out of state of the art facilities and it is here that gallopers such as Bel Esprit, Ethereal and Macedon Lady have called home. We offer full training, pre training, breaking in and spelling and are fostering a loyal group of owners and clients who are experiencing the thrill of racing, many through syndications or leasing arranged through Eliza Park. Furthermore it has forged a reputation as a high class breaking in and pre training facility under the watchful eye of Susan Ellis. Sue and her experienced team are well supported by many of Melbourne's leading trainers and appreciate there honest and dedicated approach.
An integral part of the Eliza Park group is our Berrigan farm located in the warm climate of the Riverina just over the New South Wales border. This farm has been
designed specifically for rearing young horses in large tree lined paddocks with plenty of natural pasture. Both our crops and pastures are developed utilising our ample water supply to maximise growth and production. All our foals are weaned at Berrigan and then grown out in our irrigated paddocks. They are weighed and measured monthly and this data which has been accumulated since the acquisition of the Berrigan property provides us with a valuable tool in producing sound and early maturing racehorses. We have concluded that happy and relaxed horses thrive and this tranquil setting at Berrigan lends itself beautifully to this philosophy.
