ELIZA PARK SMITHFIELD is an exciting initiative : a purpose built resource, designed to become the pre-eminent sales preparation facility in Victoria.

Securing this ‘virgin’ property in 2008 – 155 acres of prime river real estate at Nagambie – Eliza Park is dedicating Smithfield entirely to preparing both yearlings and weanlings for sales throughout Australia.

To this end, 70 boxes have been built, along with horse walkers, lunging ring and new fencing throughout.

Additionally, Eliza Park is developing Smithfield with a strong focus on environmental management, implementing sustainable farming practices including rain and storm water utilisation, waste management, energy and water usage and supply and use of environmentally friendly products.

Already in 2009 alone, Eliza Park Smithfield has applied the shine and polish to over 100 yearlings for sales in Melbourne, Sydney, the Gold Coast, Adelaide and Perth, selling up to $260,000.
