CLANGALANG’S ROGUE SLAYS OPPOSITION

Kyneton trainer, George Osborne, would have been a very happy camper following the win of Rogue Assassin at Ballarat on Wednesday (26 August).

George snapped up the Clangalang 3YO for just $3,000 at the 2008 Adelaide Magic Millions and Rogue Assassin was having only his second start at Ballarat after running a promising third on debut at Cranbourne in early August.

Bred by K Biggins and F and F Sands, Rogue Assassin is out of the Seattle Dancer mare Gaelic Jig, continuing the success of the incomparable Mr Prospector/Northern Dancer cross (Clangalang, a Mr Prospector line stallion, has worked extremely well with mares boasting Northern Dancer in their pedigrees with his winners including Reverberates, Bavarian Belle, Mr Isaac, Geegees Blackflash and co.)

Indeed, Rogue Assassin has two crosses of Northern Dancer in the bottom half (via Lyphard and Nijinsky) and hails from the immediate family of 2008 Danehill Dancer stakeswinner and multiple Group placed Georgebernardshaw.
