2009 ELIZA PARK OPEN DAY Despite the constant threat of rain, 250 souls braved the cold weather and ventured to Eliza Park's Kerrie property to view the 2009 stallion lineup ... have a peek at some foals ... listen to some great live music ... drink a drop or three of Hanging Rock's finest vintage ... and tie on the feed bag. "It was terrific to see so many of our clients and friends come out and support the day - and, pleasingly, there were a lot of new faces in the crowd," Eliza Park CEO Cameron Croucher commented. "It had been raining pretty heavy during the night and that morning but it just goes to show that breeders are passionate about their 'vocation' and the attraction of viewing quality bloodstock will always win over inclement weather." Following the parade of stallions, 'lucky door' prizes were drawn, while winning tenderers for the Eliza Park / Living Legends Online Auction - which raised over $85,000 for the International Home of Rest for Champion Horses - were presented with certificates of appreciation.
