ELIZA PARK / LIVING LEGENDS ONLINE AUCTION RAISES $85K

The Eliza Park / Living Legends Online Auction has now closed with $85,451 raised on behalf of the International Home of Rest for Champion Horses.

In a massive show of support, broodmare owners engaged in a flurry of last minute bidding to secure nominations to each of Eliza Park’s 10 stallions.

“The online auction was a toe in the water for Eliza Park but it all worked tremendously well … although our web administrator was close to meltdown with some hectic bidding right on closing time,” Eliza Park CEO Cameron Croucher enthused. “As expected, tenders flew in thick and fast for Bel Esprit and Statue of Liberty – given that this was the last opportunity for breeders to secure a nomination to either, while it was also very competitive for stallions like God’s Own, Magnus, Shinzig and Written Tycoon.

“It’s wonderful to see industry get right behind such a good cause and it opens the door for future web initiatives.
