SEASON'S FIRST FOAL AT ELIZA PARK

The first 'cab' for the 2009 breeding season rolled off the rank at Eliza Park's Kerrie property at 6am this morning (Tuesday).

The honour goes to a bouncing brown filly by Delago Brom, who is having a very big week with winners in Australia and New Zealand, along with track record breaker, Lago Bay, in Singapore.

The filly - bred by Bill Ozzimo and Tony Talarico - is out of the Desert Sun mare, Cranachan, in turn a daughter of top Kiwi mare Balmacara from the immediate family of Group One winner Sharvasti.

Eliza Park General Manager Operations, David Somers, said both mare and foal are doing well and the filly is very much typical of the Delago Brom breed: "a lovely type".
