KIWI DELAGO ADDS TO GLOBAL SUCCESS

Delago Brom’s tremendous run overseas continued on Saturday (25 July) with the victory of 3YO San Delago over 1200m at Otaki in New Zealand.

The win follows hot on the hoof of Lago Bay’s track record breaking performance at Kranji in Singapore last Wednesday (22 July) and Delago Brom now has winners in Hong Kong (with the Aussie Group Two winner Brom Brom), Macau (the Group One placed Ecstatic Macau), Singapore, New Zealand and, of course, Australia.

Coupled with the exciting trial victory of Delago Bolt (2009 Black Opal S-LR) last week, Delago Brom has been very much in the news of late.

Out of the Strategic mare, Egic, San Delago was bred by Melissa Froesch and was sold at the 2006 Inglis June Weanling Sale and then pin hooked at the 2007 New Zealand Premier for $130,000.

Egic is out of the Sea Prince mare, Neptune Princess – a Group Two winner in South Australia – from the family of Group One winning sprinter Gold Trump.
