2010 YEARLING SALES - BE PREPARED

With closing dates for 2010 auctions rapidly approaching, Eliza Park has announced unbeatable terms for yearling preparation and sales consignment.

Clients who choose to fly under the Eliza Park banner at next year’s sales will be rewarded with a 33% reduction in preparation costs (now $44 inc. GST per day) and a drop in sales commission to just 0.75% (down from 2%).

“First and foremost, it’s vital for all vendors to ensure that their yearlings are presented in the best possible light to as wide a buying bench as possible,” Eliza Park’s CEO, Cameron Croucher, points out.

“Eliza Park has the proven track record with yearlings obtaining top dollar at all the major sales and, importantly, a considerable number of those horses graduating to highly successful racing careers, including Bel Mer, Wilander, Danerich, Red Dazzler, Reactive, Blutigeroo and company.

“But it all starts a long way out from sale day: Eliza Park has recently developed a dedicated sales complex at Nagambie in Victoria’s north east, building 70 roomy, rubber-lined boxes, horse walkers, a lunging ring, lush paddocks and new fencing throughout, utilising the world acclaimed Diamond Mesh.

“Our young horses really thrived at this new complex which was borne out by the success of Eliza Park’s sales drafts this year.

“Despite the price drop in preparation and commission, there is no lowering the bar in terms of services provided.

“Indeed, Eliza Park has ramped up many important facets of the yearling sale process, aside from a state of the art facility and the employment of internationally experienced staff.

“Yearlings will be filmed and assessed on a monthly basis, there is a much greater focus on our online presence and our prospective buyer network now extends throughout south east Asia.

“Post sales we will provide clients with a rundown on inspections and x-rays and, what’s more, there is no upfront expenditure as preparation costs will be deducted from sale proceeds.

“Yearling owners need to be quick though as entries for the major sales close soon.”
