DELAGO'S BROM HERALDS A BIG WEEK

Brom Brom’s victory at Happy Valley on kicked off a purple patch for his sire, Delago Brom who then proceeded to produce winners over three of the next four days.

Actually, Crystal Club got the ball rolling with a win at Gosford on Tuesday (9 June), scoring emphatically over the mile journey.

Trained by John McNair, Crystal Club was registering her first win but, in four starts to date, has yet to finish out of the money.

Out of the Danzero mare Dame de Paree, Crystal Club was bred by Wayne and Pauline Alchin, Darren Pearce and David Emanuel and is a direct descendant of multiple stakeswinning 2YO Paris Look.

Autumn Classic-G2 winner Brom Brom (bred by Lyn Alderson and from the Straight Strike mare Easy Does It), is now racing out of the powerful John Size stable in Hong Kong and added to his considerable record with a comfortable victory over 1650m at Happy Valley last Wednesday.

Earlier in the day, the Patrick Payne trained 2YO, Danaupair Starlet, ran a game second on debut at Sandown and appears to have a promising future.

Out of the Danasinga mare Danaupair, Danaupair Starlet was bred by Delago Brom’s owner Otto Hoffelner and is a sister to multiple winner Otto’s Delight.

Another bred by Otto is the exciting mare, Seal Lago, who has now put together six wins from 18 outings, including three on end at Hobart and Launceston.

Trained by John Blacker, Seal Lago cruised to the line at Launceston and is clearly one of the Apple Isle’s finest sprinter/milers.

From the Le Belvedere mare Tower Seal, Seal Lago is closely related to Group winner Oregon Seal.

Tiger World appears to have matured into a nice horse and ploughed through the heavy Hamilton track to record a memorable win for owner/trainer Colin Scott.

Bred by Patrick Yii, Tiger World is out of the Lord Seymour mare Zippast, who has now produced six winners including stakeswinning juvenile Firenza. This is also the family of Stage Hit, Encores, Pillaging and co.

And just to make it a full house, Scarlet Romance – bred by Jim Matthews – scored over 1200m at Warrnambool on Sunday, her third win and third money run from three starts this time in.

Scarlet Romance is out of the Noalcoholic mare Serrulate, a half sister to stakeswinners Viminaria (dam of SW Gazania), Grey Alder and Maritima.

Stay tuned – there’s more where these came from!
