STAKESWINNER NO. 6 FOR BEL ESPRIT

Bel Esprit is clearly the best value sire in Australia with the Champion Victorian Sire notching up his sixth stakeswinner tonight (Saturday) with the victory of Mooring in the S$250,000 3YO Challenge-G3 at Singapore’s Kranji racecourse.

With only three crops of racing age, Bel Esprit is having a stellar season and in the past three months we’ve seen Bel Mer (Mooring’s full sister) take out the Robert Sangster Stakes-G1, unbeaten 2YO Black Caviar win the Blue Sapphire Stakes-LR, another undefeated performer in Work The Room wow all with an ‘impossible’ last to first win at Sandown, Tollesprit zoom right into Caulfield Guineas calculations with his Flemington win last month and Apparitions take out his second city win on Wednesday. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg.

Mooring also puts a huge dent in the perception that Bel Esprit only gets fillies. Mooring, Work The Room and Tollesprit are all males for starters and, actually, Bel Esprit has more male winners (47) than females (46).

Bel Esprit will stand the 2009 season at a fee of just $16,500 inc. GST and for further information please phone David Somers on 0428 440 330 or Mark Lindsay on 0416 334 338.
