TIME FOR CHOW

Prominent owner/breeder, Gerry Ryan, can certainly find a winner and Solchow added to the honour roll with solid win over the 1100m at Caulfield on Saturday (11 April).

Winning at her second start back in August – over the 1000m at Bairnsdale – Solchow has really found her hoofs this time in with a third at Flemington in mid March followed by a near three panel victory at Moonee Valley on 27 March prior to Saturday’s victory.

Hailing from the family of Clan O’Sullivan, Honor Lap, Blazing Bags and co. this daughter of Statue of Liberty can lay claim to some interesting breeding. Out of the Citidancer mare, Triple Salchow, Solchow boasts a 4 x 4 to My Charmer, dam of Kentucky Derby winner Seattle Slew (Statue of Liberty’s damsire) and English 2000 Guineas winner Lomond (sire of Citidancer).
