MIC MAC STATUE'S BACK

As they say in the classics, “timing is everything” and within days of the announcement that boom sire Statue of Liberty would stand at Eliza Park this season, his exciting son Mic Mac notched up a Group Two victory in the STC Hobartville Stakes-G2 (1400m) at Rosehill.

Unbeaten in four starts leading into the Hobartville, Mic Mac’s trainer Greg Eurell has a huge opinion of the 3YO and is talking Cox Plates in the spring.

Not surprisingly, the phones – already busy from broodmare enquiries – went red hot following the Hobartville. Although service fees to our other stallions won’t be announced until after Easter, the ‘crush’ for Statue of Liberty has resulted in his fee being set at $17,600 inc. GST.

To find out more about Statue of Liberty, you phone Shane McGrath on 0407 853 782 or Mark Lindsay on 0416 334 338 … but as they also say in the classics, “don’t dilly dally”.
