| IMAFOLLY'S RICH WIN
Bill Riches has always had a keen eye for a thoroughbred. For many years the on course vet for the Victoria Racing Club, Bill also bred a number of speedy types at Kilora, the Berwick property he runs with wife Jenny. It seems Bill has bred another handy type in Imafolly, the Delago Brom 4YO who scored an emphatic victory over 1000m at Cranbourne yesterday (7 December). This was only Imafolly’s second start, having run a half length second on debut at Sale. Bill races the horse with a number of owners and Imafolly is trained out of Grant Walker’s Mornington stables. Hailing from the Common Grounds mare Ground Rules, Imafolly is a half brother to four winners and is closely related to multiple Victorian stakeswinner Prince Ormenium. The best son of Encosta de Lago at stud, Delago Brom’s winners in the last month include Delago Sun, Drover’s Lament and Ombre, while Ecstatic Macau (formerly Classic Brom) is showing plenty of promise in Macau. |
