| ELIZA PARK'S MO BROS
Eliza Park’s ‘Mo Bros’ got right into the spirit of Movember, whiskering up for a good cause. Far be it for a person who lives in a glass house to throw a boulder, but the extra fur suited the odd ‘melon’ and it was almost to a shame to stage the shave off yesterday. It was a close call, but in the end the verdict for best moustache went to stallion handler, Lewis Martin, who scored a set of horse clippers as the main prize (see below how the astute Lewis put them to almost immediate use). His fellow stallion handler, Ben Tyrrell was mentioned in dispatches for shaving off his mo and goatee and then growing it back again in a month – only bigger and better, while Jesse Anderson snapped up a meat tray for lobbing first in the ‘bum fluff’ section. Smithfield manager, Frank Oliver, was always odds on to win the best ‘Porn Mo’ and ran so true to form that we’re currently checking out some 70s movies to see if Frank’s career has been solely dedicated to thoroughbreds. Stetson Ostrander was a late entry, but came home with a wet sail … his shortened run looking more like recent road kill. Long time inmate, Glenn Gillan, was popular choice for best bikie bur and he’s a lay down misere to be recruited into the Hells Angels should they ever be in need of an admin whiz with a flair for debt collection. Mark Lindsay, who was considered a moral to aspire no higher than fluff, took out the ‘What the ….’ prize for growth that resembled, well … we’re not quite sure. We will say this though, if this budding Spielberg ever decides to cast himself in one of his own movies, the Mexican sidekick looks to be right up his alley. Broodmare manager, Steve Putter, unfortunately failed to stay the distance, citing itchiness and a rash that should clear by 2010 as reasons for his late withdrawal. All jokes aside, well done to all those who participated. Eliza Park kicked in $700 as a contribution to the charities seeking cures for male depression and prostate cancer, while a number of the participants also raised some cash. Well done guys ... we're proud of you.
