SHINZIG RETIRED TO STUD

Danehill's Group One winning sprinter, SHINZIG, has been retired from racing and is now domiciled at Eliza Park's Kerrie headquarters.

Despite receiving an invitation by the Hong Kong Jockey Club to race in the Champions Mile on 27 April, the shareholders agreed to retire the son of Danehill following a stellar campaign which included victory in the MRC CF Orr Stakes-G1 (1400m) at Caulfield in February.

Shinzig will stand this season at an introductory fee of $18,150 (Live Foal Guarantee - payment required 31/3/2009).

Welcome to the wonderful world of Eliza Park. Eliza Park, a member of the Fleming Group, is a 100% Australian owned thoroughbred stud farm and nursery. Our principal, Mr. Lee Fleming is a 3rd generation breeder and is the eldest son of prominent Australian breeder Mr. Jim Fleming, owner of world renowned Tyreel Stud. With our 3 properties we farm nearly 2000 acres, employ 70 staff and offer a full range of thoroughbred services. Our aim to take our clients and friends from birth to the race track and we look to assist in every way we can to make their bloodstock experience as enjoyable and profitable as possible.

This year is perhaps the most exciting in the history of Eliza Park. Each year we have tried to provide high class stallion prospects for our breeders and this is epitomised by our acquisition of God’s Own. His win in the Gr.1 Caulfield Guineas, when he defeated Paratroopers had to be seen to believed and his fast closing 2nd to Global Sprint star, Takeover Target in the Lightning stakes G1 cemented his already impressive credentials. When you add in his pedigree and imposing physical appearance you will see why he stands atop of a Stallion roster which arguably the finest roster ever assembled here in Victoria.

Eliza Park currently provide a Live Foal Guarantee and delayed payment on our stallions. As further testament to our commitment to providing our clients with preferential Industry trading terms, this year, Eliza Park will allow a free return to transfer with any mare in the event of a sale provided (a) the service fee is paid in full within our trading terms and (b) the stallion in question stands at Eliza Park the following year.
