FIGHTING SUN TO STAND AT EPI
12342-1024x682On the eve of what was widely tipped to be his career defining achievement, FIGHTING SUN has been retired to stand at Eliza Park International. To paraphrase the song lyrics, the Golden Slipper is the chance of a lifetime in a lifetime of chance and according to those in the know, he had a better chance than most. This was some racehorse. Gai Waterhouse, a 5-time winner and ‘reigning’ Golden Slipper trainer, had long flagged Fighting Sun as ‘my Slipper horse’ and promise became perform...
GOTTA LOVE THE VIEW
bells-bell-chiming It’s been a big few weeks for Ruth Frenzel’s Valleyview, a boutique farm now based at Clarkefield in Victoria. Only breeding a handful of horses each year, the descendants of Valleyview’s ‘foundation’ mare, Sashimi Express have lobbed with a pair of city winners in the past fortnight: Must Be Love (by Shinzig from Lady Gwendyln by Val Royal) winning at Launceston on 29 January, while Bel Esprit mare, Chiming - a half sister to Lady Gwendlyn - won comfortably over 1400m at Launceston...
MAGNUS DELIVERS ON CONTRACT
valid-contract-672442 Magnus mare, Valid Contract, became her sire’s 58th individual winner for the season with a cracking effort over 1300m at Sandown on Wednesday. The David Brideoake and David Feek trained 4YO now has 5 wins and 8 placings from 20 outings, but her Sandown score is probably her best to date. Out of the stakes winning Take Your Partner mare, Prenuptial, Valid Contract is closely related to Hong Kong G1 winner, Winning Partners and Group winner Moonah Brooke and hails from the family of Marscay...
NO SECRET ABOUT SOL
Secret-Liberty_grid Another big day at the office for Statue of Liberty with a resounding double at Pakenham on Friday. In a running deuce, Robbie Laing’s New York Rain and then Matt Laurie’s Secret Liberty were both very impressive in scoring over their 1008m assignments. Robbie, in particular, was fairly effusive about the prospects for his grey filly, saying that she was right up to city class following her all the way victory in smartish time. It was the second win from four outings for New York Rain w...

2013 Horse of the Year

About Eliza Park International

Eliza Park International is one of Australia’s largest stud farms, offering its clientele a total range of thoroughbred related services.

First established in 1998, Eliza Park International has grown from a boutique, single farm operation to an organisation that now encompasses six farms in both Victoria and Queensland (2500 hectares), over $25 million in infrastructure and stands 13 high quality stallions.

Eliza Park International is also renowned for its role in the ‘production’ of the world champion racehorse, Black Caviar: we stand her sire, Bel Esprit, bred her mother, Helsinge, and stood her damsire, Desert Sun.

Eliza Park International was purchased by the Sun International Group in June 2013 with the promise of many exciting developments that will truly place the operation on a global stage.

Through it’s service specific farms and highly professional staff, Eliza Park International can provide its clients with every possible horse racing service ... breeding, rearing, sales, agistment, spelling, education, administration, advice and training.

This is only the beginning...

The Future

Although Eliza Park International has gained a reputation for its professionalism, diversity of services, stallions, facilities and quality of racehorses produced at its farms, we are not about to rest on our laurels. Plans are already underway to build an undercover training track – the first of its kind in Australia – while, other initiatives include the construction of a water walker for both training and therapeutic purposes. Eliza Park International has every intention of living up to its name by taking its brand to the global stage.

Our Stallions

For breeders, Eliza Park International has a diverse lineup of stallions to suit all requirements with 10 stallions based in Victoria – including Australian Champion Sire, Bel Esprit, and the hugely popular first season sire, Wanted – and three stallions in Queensland. Meanwhile, our knowledgeable sales team is on hand to assist with any enquiries, bookings or mating analyses.
